Know the Risks MoCo is a project of the Montgomery County Collaboration Council dedicated to increasing awareness, education and understanding about opioid addiction, its link to heroin, and pain relief alternatives for middle and high school aged youth. We educate parents and caregivers on safe disposal and storage methods for prescription opioids, as well as provide prescription take-back locations and information for residents of Montgomery County, Maryland.

"Every day, more than 130 people in the United States die after overdosing on opioids. The misuse of and addiction to opioids—including prescription pain relievers, heroin, and synthetic opioids such as fentanyl—is a serious national crisis that affects public health as well as social and economic welfare." – National Institute on Drug Abuse

Help make a positive impact in our community by supporting this event. We encourage all senior centers and families in the area to attend.
