On May 12, 2025, Raskin voiced his support for advocates working against what he perceives as efforts to undermine the Veterans Affairs (VA). He stated that "The VA’s work serving our vets isn't 'waste, fraud and abuse.' Honored to support advocates from @commondefense who are standing in the breach to fight GOP attempts to demoralize and privatize the VA."

Later that day, Raskin addressed concerns about potential constitutional violations involving foreign gifts received by the president. He remarked that "An unconstitutional gift is at the heart of this presidential grift. No presents 'of any kind whatever' are allowed from foreign states and kings without Congressional consent."
