Representative Jamie Raskin recently took to social media to express his views on several political and personal matters. His comments addressed due process in relation to former President Trump, responded to a colleague's political comparison, and extended well-wishes to a fellow representative.

On April 16, 2025, Raskin remarked on due process and the presumption of innocence, focusing on former President Trump. He encouraged the public to submit any evidence regarding the alleged involvement of Abrego Garcia in assaults against officers during the January 6 events. Raskin emphasized the importance of upholding democratic principles by stating, "Democracies don't disappear people without a hearing."

Later on the same day, Raskin reacted to a comparison made by Rep. Meuser. He criticized this comparison as inappropriate, equating lawful actions by Governor Shapiro to those of a violent arsonist. Raskin labeled the analogy as "deranged moral equivalency" and indicative of "desperate political opportunism."

Lastly, Raskin conveyed his support to Rep. Norcross by sending thoughts and prayers for his recovery. Referring to Norcross as "an esteemed friend and a fighter for the people who is tough as nails," Raskin underscored the personal connection and admiration he holds for his colleague.
