In a series of tweets on April 15, 2025, Representative Jamie Raskin expressed his opinions on various subjects, including academic freedom, public education, and economic policies under the Trump administration.

On the topic of academic freedom, Raskin commented on a stance taken by Harvard president Alan Garber. "Harvard president Alan Garber is standing strong for academic freedom and the pursuit of truth without government control and state propaganda interfering," he stated. Raskin called for universities and colleges to unite against what he described as "outrageous Godfather offers and shakedowns from the White House."

In a separate tweet addressing public education, Raskin praised actress Lisa Ann Walter for her advocacy. He remarked, "Lisa Ann Walter might play a teacher on Abbott Elementary, but in real life, she's also a fierce crusader for public education." He thanked Walter for her efforts in safeguarding the Department of Education to ensure children can succeed.

Raskin also voiced concerns about economic policies benefiting wealthy individuals. He criticized exemptions that favor tech industry leaders who supported Trump, stating, "It’s no coincidence that the tech broligarchs who kissed Trump’s ring are first in line for tariff exemptions on their Chinese-made products." Raskin warned of the economic burden this places on Americans, who, according to his tweet, will pay more while billionaires benefit.
