Jamie Raskin, a U.S. Congressman representing Maryland's 8th district since 2017, has been vocal on several issues through his recent tweets. His posts cover a range of topics from education in military-run schools to healthcare funding and patient safety.

On March 17, 2025, Raskin expressed concerns over the Department of Defense under Secretary Pete Hegseth for allegedly censoring educational materials in military-run schools. He stated that "Culture war censors at Secretary Pete Hegseth's DoD are purging books and learning materials from military-run schools." He emphasized the importance of quality education and First Amendment rights for military families.

In another tweet dated March 19, 2025, Raskin addressed potential cuts to Medicaid by the Trump administration and MAGA supporters. He noted that "More than 150,000 MD-08 residents rely on Medicaid for lifesaving care, yet Trump & MAGA are pushing the largest cut ever." He called for strong defense of Medicaid services.

Later on March 19, Raskin highlighted the benefits provided by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). He tweeted about his collaboration with Senator Blumenthal and Representative Don Beyer to protect AHRQ from budgetary threats by stating: "Patients benefit from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality...I joined @SenBlumenthal and @RepDonBeyer in sending a message to Trump and DOGE last week: hands off AHRQ!"
