Rep. Jamie Raskin, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Maryland's 8th district since 2017, recently expressed his views on various national issues through a series of tweets. The Congressman, known for his legal background and political career, shared his concerns regarding attacks on federal workers, programs, and the Constitution.

On February 19, 2025, Raskin emphasized unity against perceived threats to democracy. He stated: "We've gathered in solidarity wherever federal workers, federal programs and our Constitution are under attack." He affirmed that "The majority will defend representative democracy against the cyberbarons."

Later that day, Raskin called for public action in support of federal workers and democratic principles. He urged citizens to resist authoritarian influences both domestically and internationally. In his words: "Now is the time for our citizenry to fight for our federal workers and national programs." Raskin noted a conversation with Brian Tyler Cohen about their significant mission.

On February 20, 2025, Raskin addressed financial concerns regarding government spending. He criticized what he termed as a misuse of taxpayer money by directing attention to Elon Musk and DOGE. He commented: "I'd like to bring this multimillion-dollar photo-op to the attention of Elon Musk and DOGE." He argued against cutting essential services such as food inspection and air traffic control in favor of what he sees as unnecessary expenses.
