Rep. Jamie Raskin, a U.S. Congressman representing Maryland's 8th district since 2017, recently shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Raskin, who has been vocal about political and economic matters, addressed topics ranging from international trade policies to domestic financial transparency.

On February 2, 2025, Rep. Raskin criticized the Trump administration's trade policies via Twitter. He stated that "The Trump trade war targets two of our closest allies, Canada and Mexico, but plays nice with China, a notorious trade cheat and driver of fentanyl." He further commented on President Trump's responsibility for any economic and national security consequences arising from these policies.

On February 3, 2025, Raskin turned his attention to Elon Musk's influence on the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). In his tweet he remarked that "Elon Musk's wrecking ball now swings at USAID, vaporizing humanitarian assistance," warning about the potential risks this poses to lives globally and America's standing in the world.

By February 4, 2025, Rep. Raskin focused on issues concerning government financial transparency. He called out what he described as a defamatory lie regarding public financial reports. In his tweet he asserted that "This is a defamatory lie easily debunked by public financial reports." He challenged government contractors benefiting significantly from taxpayer funds to disclose any conflict of interest waivers they might possess.
