On February 2, 2025, Rep. Raskin criticized the Trump administration's trade policies via Twitter. He stated that "The Trump trade war targets two of our closest allies, Canada and Mexico, but plays nice with China, a notorious trade cheat and driver of fentanyl." He further commented on President Trump's responsibility for any economic and national security consequences arising from these policies.

On February 3, 2025, Raskin turned his attention to Elon Musk's influence on the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). He challenged government contractors benefiting significantly from taxpayer funds to disclose any conflict of interest waivers they might possess.
