TOWN OF POOLESVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION: Trash And Recycling Contract Out For Bid!

Recycle

Town Of Poolesville Planning Commission issued the following announcement on Jan. 25.

TRASH AND RECYCLING CONTRACT OUT FOR BID!

As promised, the Town of Poolesville has created and posted a "Request for Proposal" (RFP) to solicit competitive sealed proposals from qualified contractors which have experience in providing municipal residential trash, recyclables, and yard waste (i.e., refuse) collection services.

Here's the link for the RFP: https://www.poolesvillemd.gov/.../Request-For-Proposal...

We've created the RFP to include "carve outs" for specialty services so we can get a broad range of quotes and capabilities from vendors. All of the general contract talk and decisions to be made about what kind of services we'll be embracing will be played out in public meetings that you'll be urged to attend. We want the input of our actual town residents on one of the biggest decisions we'll make in this budget/contract session.

Bids will be opened in a public opening at Poolesville Town Hall on February 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM. Town staff will then evaluate all proposals for legitimacy and accuracy, as well as adherence to the bid protocol, before submitting them to the Commissioners for their further consideration and discussion (which will also include determination of actual services provided).
