City Of Rockville issued the following announcement on Dec. 09.
The Mayor and Council are scheduled on Monday, Dec. 13 to continue their discussion of how to spend $9.6 million, Rockville’s portion of funds received through the federal American Rescue Plan Act.
ARPA’s goal is to aid state and local governments in recovering from the budgetary, economic and financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Public participation in the City of Rockville’s budget process is a high priority for the Mayor and Council and city staff. A budget survey, in English and Spanish, at www.rockvillemd.gov/budget allows community members to identify their top budget priorities, initiatives for reducing the negative impacts of COVID-19 and options for maintaining a balanced budget.
The public response to the survey will provide valuable input to the Mayor and Council for their Fiscal Year 2023 budget discussions.
