CITY OF GAITHERSBURG DEPARTMENT OF PARKS, RECREATION AND CULTURE: 2nd Annual Call to Artists for Arts on the Green Marketing Image

City of Gaithersburg Department of Parks, Recreaton and Culture issued the following announcement on March 13.

Artists are invited to create an original artwork for the season brochure, signage & other promotional items.

Artists are invited to create an original artwork to be considered as the featured graphic image for the Arts on the Green season brochure, signage and other promotional items during Fiscal Year 2020 (July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2020). Thousands of Arts on the Green marketing materials are distributed annually. Arts on the Green is the collective marketing identity for the Arts Barn & Kentlands Mansion, which together represent Gaithersburg’s home for the performing and visual arts. The facilities are located at 311 & 320 Kent Square Road in the Kentlands neighborhood in Gaithersburg.

Two-dimensional works in all media, styles, and techniques are acceptable. The artwork must be original in design and should reflect the varied performing and visual art activities that take place in Arts on the Green facilities, including theatre, music, dance, film, comedy, magic, family, arts education, and gallery exhibitions. The selected artist will be compensated and the work will be displayed at the Arts Barn in addition to its use on promotional materials.

The deadline for submission is Monday, April 22, 2019. The selection is anticipated by May 17.
