Town of Poolesville issued the following announcement on Nov. 30.
The Town of Poolesville , is hosting a stop on Marc Elrich’s listening tour to hear directly from residents across the county about the issues they want him to address as Montgomery County Executive.
This listening tour is a priority of Marc Elrich’s transition into the office of Montgomery County Executive. The public forums allow residents to share their concerns and hopes for the future.
In a forum with his fellow candidates for County Executive, Marc Elrich expressed his support of the Agricultural Reserve and intentions to ensure equity and fairness. The Committee for Fair Access for Western Montgomery County, supported by the Town of Poolesville, brings together parents and residents to advocate for a collocated facility to replace the aging Poolesville High School with an adjacent Western Montgomery County Community Center with health clinic, and police substation to provide needed services currently lacking in the western county area.
