City of Gaithersburg issued the following announcement on Nov. 30.
The City invites individual artists and art groups to submit applications to exhibit at one of its three art galleries, housed at the Arts Barn, Kentlands Mansion and the Activity Center at Bohrer Park. There is also a special call for the Emerging Artists exhibit, open to those who may have limited experience showing their work in gallery settings.
Applications are now being accepted for 2019 – 2020 exhibitions, including:
- “Emerging Artists” (Special Call for Spring 2019 Exhibit)
- “Big, Bold, & Beautiful #2”
- “Art Experiment”
- “Global Roots: Heritage & Identity”
- “Building Bridges with Constructive Dialogue”
- “Drawing: Eloquence of Line”
- “Painterly Brushstrokes/Captured Essence”
The submission deadline for the Emerging Artists exhibit is Friday, January 18, 2019. The deadline for submission for all other exhibits is Thursday, January 31, 2019. All applications must be submitted and application fees postmarked by 11:30 p.m. on these dates.
