CITY OF GAITHERSBURG: Winter Lights Festival

City of Gaithersburg issued the following announcement on Nov. 14.

The City of Gaithersburg Winter Lights Festival is getting ready to welcome visitors for its 23rd spectacular season. The wondrous display of lights at Seneca Creek State Park will be open nightly November 23 through December 31. Please note that the festival will be closed on December 25.

The 3.5 mile drive through the enchanted setting of Seneca Creek State Park takes you past more than 450 illuminated displays and beautifully lit trees that light up the night. The park is located at 11950 Clopper Road, conveniently accessible from I-270.

Advance Online Sales Now Available

Cut your wait time in line, by buying online. We are excited to introduce advance drive-through ticket sales, via Eventbrite. Weekday tickets are good any Monday -Thursday, and weekend tickets are good any Friday - Sunday during the season. Tickets are available here.

Fees

  • Cars, SUV’s, Mini-Vans, Limos  Monday - Thursday: $12
  • Cars, SUV’s, Mini-Vans, Limos  Friday - Sunday: $17
  • 15 to 30 Passenger Vehicles: $25
  • 30+ Passenger Vehicles: $50
Festival Beneficiaries

In the spirit of the holidays, a portion of the proceeds from the 2018 Festival will benefit local nonprofit organizations including Comfort Cases, Inc., Metropolitan Ballet Theatre & Academy, OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of and Services for Individuals with Special Needs), and Unity of Gaithersburg.
