City of Rockville APA Task Force met September 4.

I. Convene
II. Welcome Guests
Staff welcomed guest and had Task Force introduce themselves.
III. Review of Yearly Plan
See Agenda Numbers IV, V, and VI for some points about the yearly plan.
IV. Lunar New Year
Discussed the preferred date for the event. The task force prefers February y that the
V. Voter Registration
To add to the plan for the year, task force members discussed the idea of having threecooking demonstrations and on those dates in April, use them to discuss voter registration and community engagement.
VI. Community Outreach Activities
A. World of Montgomery- October 21 at Montgomery College from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Members will participate in this event and use this as an opportunity to network and let people know about the Lunar New Year.
B. SCUP Conference
There will be a school resource event on October 5 from 8 – 12. Members signed up for this outreach event.
VII. Workshops
There will be a series of workshops that the task force will either collaborate with MCPS or will have separately in May.
VIII. Adjournment
Meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m. The next meeting will be on October 2 at City Hall at 7:30 p.m.
