City of Gaithersburg issued the following announcement on Oct. 30.
The City of Gaithersburg Department of Public Works will perform street resurfacing on West Deer Park Road, from Muddy Branch Road to Fairbanks Boulevard. The work will consist of removal and replacement of deteriorated curb and sidewalk, crack sealing and micro-surfacing of existing pavement. The curb and sidewalk replacement as well as pavement crack sealing is anticipated to now begin on October 29, 2018, weather permitting, and will continue for approximately five weeks. The resurfacing (micro-surfacing) work of the project will follow in spring 2019.
“No Parking” signs will be posted at least 48 hours in advance of construction activity. These signs will be marked with the dates and times of the parking restrictions. If you plan to be away from your home for any length of time during this period, please make arrangements to have your vehicles parked off the street.
Work will take place on weekdays between 9:15 a.m. and 3 p.m. For more information and status updates please contact the Department of Public Works.
