VILLAGE OF NORTH CHEVY CHASE: Free Family Fun Day, Chevy Chase Library

Village of North Chevy Chase issued the following announcement on Oct. 9.

This Saturday, 10/13, 10-2

8005 Connecticut Ave.

10:30 On the Ball Spinney. A great basketball player uses his amazing skills to demonstrate the importance of education, respect, goal setting, determination and perseverance.

10-2: Children’s crafts

10-2: Sale of special books donated to the library. These include old books, art and architecture books and old comic books too valuable to be sold at our regular used book sale. Yet all books priced just $2-$5.

2:00 Sisters in Crime presents five local authors of crime novels. Authors Maya Corrigan, Kathryn Johnson, Rebecca York, Meg Opperman and Con Lehane will discuss their unique types of mysteries and how they write them. Books will be available for sale at the event.

Simultaneously the Chevy Chase Fire Department next door will have an open house and the Chevy Chase Women’s Club, two doors up, has its art and craft fair.
