City of Gaithersburg issued the following announcement on Aug. 7.
The Mayor and City Council are seeking to fill a vacancy on the Ethics Commission for one (1) full time member.
The Ethics Commission works in conjunction with the City’s Department of Legal Services. The Commission oversees the annual review of financial disclosure and conflict of interest forms completed by City officials, employees, and members of boards and commissions, as well as requests for advisory opinions and complaints of violations of the ethics laws.
The Board consists of three members and one alternate who are appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council. Members serve staggered, three-year terms and meet as needed. All applicants must reside within the corporate City limits.
