City of Gaithersburg issued the following announcement on Aug. 2.
Grease is the word! Party like it’s the summer of 1958 at a special 40th Anniversary celebration of Grease.
The Arts Barn is hosting two screening parties on Saturday, September 8, 2018.
This iconic American film featuring John Travolta and Olivia Newton John made its debut in 1978.
Dress up like your favorite character and brush up on your hand jive skills for a chance to win a prize.
Singing along with the film is encouraged.
The celebration starts with a Family Fun Party at 2 p.m., with the movie following at 3 p.m.
The evening Film & Brew Party, which includes a cash bar, kicks off at 6 p.m.; the film starts at 7:30 p.m. A photo ID is required for beer and wine purchase. Admission to each party is $5 in advance, $8 the day of the event.
