CHEVY CHASE VILLAGE: Users of New Dog Park Reminded to Pick Up After Pets

Class 25 crossroadspark images

Chevy Chase Village issued the following announcement on Aug. 1.

The Dog Exercise Area at Brookville Road Park has been officially open for a week and a half, and while we are happy to see so many of our four-legged residents enjoying this unique space, it is imperative that ALL PET OWNERS remember to PICK UP AFTER YOUR PET WHEN VISITING THE DOG PARK.

The posted rules and regulations for access to the Dog Exercise Area require users to pick up after their pet.

This rule applies throughout the park and all public spaces in the Village.

Doing so ensures that the park remains an enjoyable space for all and preserves the beauty and accessibility of our newly renovated park.

The Village has provided pet waste bag dispensers and trash cans inside and outside of the fence-enclosed area.

The Village’s Police Department is actively monitoring the Dog Exercise Area.

Repeat violators of any of the posted rules and regulations could be subject to a fine and/or may be asked to leave the space.

The rules and regulations are prominently posted at the park and can be viewed online by clicking on the below link:
