Village of North Chevy Chase issued the following announcement on July 2.
The State of Maryland is considering the possible widening of I-495 and I-270, to add multiple toll lanes in both directions.
Given the proximity of I-495 to our Village, these proposals could have an effect on the Village and on quality of life here.
If you are interested in this issue, the State Highway Administration will be holding a series of Public
Workshops this month to present information about a preliminary range of alternatives and to solicit input from in interested parties.
The one closest to NCC will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Thomas W. Pyle Middle School, 6311 Wilson Lane, Bethesda, MD 20817.
