CITY OF ROCKVILLE: Most City of Rockville Facilities Closed July Fourth

City of Rockville issued the following announcement on June 18.

City Hall and the following city facilities will be closed Wednesday, July 4, for Independence Day:

  • Lincoln Park, Thomas Farm and Twinbrook community centers.
  • The Rockville Senior Center.
  • Croydon Creek Nature Center.
  • Glenview Mansion, including the mansion’s art gallery.
  • F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre and its box office.Theater tickets are always available at www.rockvillemd.gov/theatre.
The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will close at 6 p.m. Find summer hours for individual swim center facilities at www.rockvillemd.gov/swimcenter.

After regular recycling, yard waste and refuse collection on Monday, July 2 and Tuesday, July 3, there will be no collection on July 4. Collections will be made one day later through Friday, July 6. For more information, visit www.rockvillemd.gov/recycling-refuse or call 240-314-8568.

Parking at city-owned meters will be free.
