Schedule for trainings for the committee and schools and release date of March 1 to the Schools
were announced.
E. Book Festival
Working group to meet and contact participants from last year to discuss ideas for committee
booth at the Book Festival dedicated to the love of "Language and Literacy"
F. Site Visit and Calendar
Information distributed
G. Update on 10% private school policies
Discussion conducted regarding the possibility of updating language regarding qualifications for
City grant funding to "10% schools OR 150 students" Staff will follow up with the City manager
and committee will vote on this option at their March meeting.
H. Opportunity Grant Submissions
Members requested information from both applicants via City staff to clarify some information and
to determine if the applications qualify as "opportunity" grants.
