American Society Of Health-System Pharmacists issued the following announcement on Aug. 18.
Breaking: Today, HHS experts announced the administration’s plan to provide booster doses of COVID-19 vaccines for anyone previously fully immunized beginning the week of September 20, pending FDA authorization and CDC recommendation, along with time for operationalization.
The additional dose should be administered eight months after completion of the primary 2-dose series, and the rollout will be similar to phase 1 of the initial vaccine rollout. Find further information here: https://go.ashp.org/3ATZtpm
