Cost of college went up for all students at Washington Adventist University

Tuition and fees rose 2.1 percent for 2018-19 at Washington Adventist University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Maryland students paid $23,900 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $500 more than the $23,400 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 94 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 99 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.5 million and 71 students took out student loans totaling more than $689,967.

Including all undergraduates (1,131), 618 students used grants or scholarships totaling $7.9 million, and 507 students took out $5.6 million in federal student loans.
