City of Gaithersburg issued the following announcement on Feb. 19.
Gaithersburg’s Arts on the Green presents “The Kentlands Flower Show: A Floral Photography Exhibit,” featuring fine art photography by Composite Fine Art Photographers. The exhibit is on display at Kentlands Mansion from March 1 through April 28, 2019. The public is invited to meet the artists during a free Artists Reception on Sunday, March 10 from Noon to 2 p.m.
Composite Fine Art Photographers is an exhibition group formed by Jaree Donnelly, Craig Higgins & Marge Wasson. The group’s name represents the joining of creative strengths to produce outstanding collaborative exhibits. Sensing an affinity within each other’s work and spirit, a synergetic connection has grown amongst the group.
Donnelly, Higgins and Wasson each has a passion for nature photography with a gift for capturing florals. The group was inspired to recreate the magic and delight of classic flower shows held in the early spring, such as the annual Philadelphia Flower Show. For this exhibit, each artist approached the theme from his or her own point of view, making the imagery and pieces unique, yet complementary. The exhibit features 50 pieces that were artfully curated to ensure a cohesive flow. Learn more about Composite Fine Art Photographers on Facebook @CompositePhotoArts.
