Town of Garrett Park issued the following announcement on Oct. 16.
On Friday, October 19, at 8:00pm the Garrett Park Film Society (GPFS) presents “No” (2013, Chile, R), the true story of the ad campaign that took down Chilean dictator, Augusto Pinochet. A “smart, darkly funny perspective on modern democracy and human nature,” starring Gael Garcia Bernal. Admission: Free for GPFS members; $5/person or $10/family for non- GPFS members
Dinner and drinks will be served at 7:00pm. As usual, in keeping with the film, dinner will feature Chilean food. The entrée is a choice of meat or vegetarian empanadas served with a typical Chilean side dish and dessert TBD) at a cost of $10/person. Pisco sours, another Chilean specialty, will be added to the regular line up of drinks - water, soda, beer, and wine. Prices ranges from $1-$5.
