City of Gaithersburg issued the following announcement on Sept. 24.
In partnership with Victorian Lyric Opera Company, Arts on the Green presents Jack and the Beanstalk. The show runs October 20 through 28, 2018, with one-hour performances on Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The Arts Barn is located at 311 Kent Square Road. Admission is $15, $12 for youth ages 14 and under. This show is recommended for ages seven and older.
Set to the toe-tapping music of Gilbert and Sullivan, this family-friendly adaptation of the classic fairytale tells the story of Jack’s adventures up the magic beanstalk. Both Jack and the Giant learn an important lesson about how to treat others in this happy-ending performance
