3. DISCUSSION TOPICS
A. Guest Speaker: Dan Lane, Community Services/Public Information Officer Gaithersburg Police Department, Special Operations Bureau
Office Lane reviewed criminal activity within Olde Towne. In general, numbers remain low.
Discussion also covered drug-related activity and day labor complaints in the Frederick Avenue corridor. Whithin Olde Towne, drug sales tend to occur within a household (not on the street); the two marijuana dispensaries have not generated issues. If/when landlords suspect marijuana use within a rental unit, he recommends that they call the Police Department.
