1. CALL TO ORDER

The Regular Session of the Educational Enrichment Committee was called to order at 7:40 AM with Chair Stacey Simon presiding.

3. DISCUSSION TOPICS

A. Review and Distribution of new EEC Card

New EEC cards found to be defective. Staff will contract printer and request reprint.

B. Confirmation of member and liaison assignments and responsibilities

Staff confirmed with members present what schools they are liaisons for this school year. Staff will follow up with members not present.

C. Principals' Event Update

Staff briefed the committee on the principals' breakfast agenda , logistics and volunteer roles. The committee requested that the principals who can not attend should be re-contacted with the offer that they send another staff person. Committee member Wilcox offered to review the new Facebook teachers' contest rules document to be handed out at the event.

D. Feedback on school open house outreach

Staff gave an update of the Gaithersburg, Brown Station and Summit Hall Open House Nonprofit Resource Fairs which were a huge success. Community Services and the committee plan to make this event a yearly focus for outreach. A plan to reach out to all 10% elementary schools and work on logistics for next year will be discussed further.
