AMERICAN SOCIETY OF HEALTH-SYSTEM PHARMACISTS: Becker's Hospital Review honored Wendy Horton, chief executive officer (CEO) of UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia, as one of 26 women executives to know in healthcare.

The award recognizes Horton's accomplishments in operational optimization and creating a culture of innovation. She was the only pharmacist to receive the honor, which was announced Dec. 28.

CITY OF ROCKVILLE: Rockville rings in the Year of the Rabbit this month with performances and interactive displays, at the city’s Lunar New Year celebration.

The annual celebration will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, at Thomas S. Wootton High School.
