American Society Of Health-System Pharmacists issued the following announcement on Jan. 13.
Becker's Hospital Review honored Wendy Horton, chief executive officer (CEO) of UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, Virginia, as one of 26 women executives to know in healthcare.
The award recognizes Horton's accomplishments in operational optimization and creating a culture of innovation. She was the only pharmacist to receive the honor, which was announced Dec. 28.
