City Of Gaithersburg issued the following announcement on Nov. 19.
#DYK? We earned a score of 100 points in the 10th annual Municipal Equality Index, an initiative of the Human Rights Campaign that examines the inclusivity of laws, policies and services with respect to the LGBTQ+ community.
We achieved additional points for having all-gender single occupancy facilities, having a non-discrimination ordinance for City contractors, taking a public position on LGBTQ+ equality, and for having leaders demonstrate pro-equality legislative and policy efforts.
