Colesville United Methodist Church issued the following announcement on Oct. 29.
It’s a two way street. Masks protect you and me. When we all wear masks, we take care of each other.
As more and more people become fully vaccinated, many continue to wonder, “when can we stop wearing mask??”
While the CDC says that fully vaccinated people can safely gather indoors in small gatherings with others who are fully vaccinated without a mask, you should still continue wearing a mask in public spaces.
In addition, here are five reasons why you should still wear a mask after you’ve been vaccinated:
It takes time for the vaccine to kick in
The vaccines do not provide 100% protection
Those who are vaccinated may be asymptomatic spreaders
Protect those who have compromised immune systems and those who can’t be vaccinated
Protect those that need a booster
The vaccine is just one of the many tools we have to protect ourselves and each other from COVID-19. Continue to wear your mask, wash your hands, and avoid large crowds.
