Bethesda median home prices rose by 16.9% in the first half of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2021 in Bethesda rose by $152,500 while total sales increased by 46.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2021, there were 608 homes sold, with a median sale price of $1,057,500 - a 16.9% increase over the $905,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 415 homes sold in Bethesda in the first half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Bethesda for the most recent year with available data, 2020, was $9,425, approximately 0.9% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2021.
