City of Rockville Traffic and Transportation Commission met Sept. 28.

Commissioners Present: Garrett Clemons, Thomas Gibney, Cynthia Griffiths, Alan Kaplan, and Jeremy Martin
Guest : Julie Palakovich Carr, and Craig Simoneau
City Staff: Oleg Kotov, and Daniel Seo
1. General Announcements, Introduction of Guests and Public Comment Period
a. Chair Kaplan called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
2. Meeting with Director of Public Works
a. Mr. Craig Simoneau, Director of Public Works, provided updates on the department’s recent activities and new developments in the City.
b. The Commission inquired about several items related to traffic and transportation.
3. Vision Zero Updates
a. Mr. Kotov, Senior Transportation Planner, explained how staff would work on City’s Vision Zero action plans utilizing the Montgomery County’s action plans.
b. The Commission provided their inputs and comments.
4. Review and Approve July 2018 Meeting Minutes
a. Commissioner Martin made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Gibney to approve the July 2018 meeting minutes. The motion passed 4-0-1. Commissioner Garrett abstained due to his absence at the July meeting.
4. Staff Report and Updates
a. Staff provided the Monthly Report.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 PM.
