Town of Kensington recently issued the following announcement.
Montgomery Art Association and The Town of Kensington present the Annual Kensington Labor Day Weekend 2018 “Paint the Town” Art Show & Plein Air Event
Works of local artists on display and for sale throughout the Labor Day Weekend, shown in conjunction with the Kensington Labor Day Parade and Festival on Monday, September 3.
Come celebrate this Labor Day Weekend in The Town of Kensington with this annual Art Show and Sale. Artists from all over the area converge on Town Hall displaying their creativity with their original art works through the Labor Day Weekend. Art in all media: watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, mixed media and sculpture is displayed at the show.
Prizes will be awarded in six categories. The Bertha Clum Award is given to the overall best in show, and brings with it a $500 prize.
ALSO: Saturday, September 1 – the “Plein Air Event” – from daybreak to
3 pm – artists set up their easels around town and PAINT KENSINGTON!
Admission is FREE
at The Kensington Armory / Town Hall, 3710 Mitchell Street, Kensington, Maryland 20895
