Town of Kensington recently issued the following announcement.
The 51st Annual Kensington Labor Day Parade and Festival will be held on Monday, September 3, 2018.
The Parade kicks-off at 10 am at St. Paul Park at the corners of St. Paul Street and Plyers Mill Road.
The Parade travels south down Connecticut Avenue toward Warner Street before turning back through the heart of Kensington.
The Parade features local marching bands from area schools; equestrian show groups; dance groups; floats and ambassadors from local churches, schools, non-profits, and businesses; and local, state, and federally elected officials.
But this is just the beginning!
As the Parade moves toward Town Hall, Armory Avenue comes alive with the captivating and exquisite aroma of your favorite and newly discovered foods, along with diverse vendors, games and activities for children of all ages.
If you’re interested in being a sponsor, participating, or just volunteering for the 51st Annual Kensington Labor Day Parade and Festival, please contact the Town Staff.
The complete parade route map will be posted here around mid-August.
