Bethesda median home prices rose by 12.9% in 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in 2021 in Bethesda rose by $122,500 while total sales increased by 42.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2021, there were 1,381 homes sold, with a median sale price of $1,075,000 - a 12.9% increase over the $952,500 median sale price for the previous year. There were 971 homes sold in Bethesda in 2020.

The median sales tax in Bethesda for the most recent year with available data, 2020, was $9,425, approximately 0.9% of the median home sale price for 2021.
