The fourth quarter of 2021: Gaithersburg experienced a 13.8% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2021 in Gaithersburg rose by $58,800 while total sales increased by 12.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2021, there were 349 homes sold, with a median sale price of $483,700 - a 13.8% increase over the $424,900 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 309 homes sold in Gaithersburg in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Gaithersburg for the most recent year with available data, 2020, was $4,750, approximately 1% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2021.
