Rising home prices in Olney in the third quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2021 in Olney rose by $140,000 while total sales decreased by 10.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2021, there were 121 homes sold, with a median sale price of $625,000 - a 28.9% increase over the $485,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 135 homes sold in Olney in the third quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Olney for the most recent year with available data, 2020, was $5,513, approximately 0.9% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2021.
