The third quarter of 2021: Home prices in Silver Spring increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2021 in Silver Spring rose by $28,000 while total sales increased by 64.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2021, there were 229 homes sold, with a median sale price of $560,000 - a 5.3% increase over the $532,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 139 homes sold in Silver Spring in the third quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Silver Spring for the most recent year with available data, 2020, was $5,220, approximately 0.9% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2021.
