Bethesda median home prices rose by 5.7% in the first quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2021 in Bethesda rose by $53,750 while total sales increased by 34.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2021, there were 248 homes sold, with a median sale price of $993,750 - a 5.7% increase over the $940,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 185 homes sold in Bethesda in the first quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Bethesda for the most recent year with available data, 2020, was $9,425, approximately 0.9% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2021.
