Ashton-Sandy Spring home prices rise in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Ashton-Sandy Spring rose by $72,500 while total sales increased by 69%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 49 homes sold, with a median sale price of $600,000 - a 13.7% increase over the $527,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 29 homes sold in Ashton-Sandy Spring in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Ashton-Sandy Spring for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $6,374, approximately 1.1% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2018.
