Olney home prices rise in the first half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in Olney rose by $17,500 while total sales increased by 11.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were 213 homes sold, with a median sale price of $500,000 - a 3.6% increase over the $482,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 191 homes sold in Olney in the first half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Olney for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $5,392, approximately 1.1% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2019.
