Ashton-Sandy Spring home prices fall in the first quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2019 in Ashton-Sandy Spring fell by $245,000 while total sales increased by 28.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2019, there were nine homes sold, with a median sale price of $575,000 - a 29.9% decrease over the $820,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Ashton-Sandy Spring in the first quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Ashton-Sandy Spring for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $6,374, approximately 1.1% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2019.
