Redland ranked 148th in state for resident earnings in 2017

Redland ranked 148th among cities in Maryland by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau in August.

The median income of Redland residents was an inflation-adjusted $37,232 per year. Redland had 5,494 households in 2017, with a population of 17,317.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was Brookmont. Brookmont's median income was $119,286 per year after adjusting for inflation – $82,054 more than Redland. It had 1,300 households in 2017 and a population of 3,585.

Jennings had the lowest annual resident income among cities in Maryland, with a median income of only $11,549 per year. That was $25,683 less than the median income in Redland at the time. Jennings had 71 households in 2017 and a population of 251.
