Chevy Chase (Montgomery County) home prices rise in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Chevy Chase in Montgomery County rose by $169,250 while total sales increased by 9.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 112 homes sold, with a median sale price of $1,146,750 - a 17.3% increase over the $977,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 102 homes sold in Chevy Chase in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Chevy Chase for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $11,021, approximately 1% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2017.
