Wheaton-Glenmont home prices rise in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Wheaton-Glenmont rose by $19,500 while total sales increased by 5.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 286 homes sold, with a median sale price of $364,500 - a 5.7% increase over the $345,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 270 homes sold in Wheaton-Glenmont in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Wheaton-Glenmont for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $3,809, approximately 1% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2017.
