Bethesda home prices fall in January 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2017 in Bethesda fell by $55,000 while total sales increased by 124.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2017, there were 65 homes sold, with a median sale price of $845,000 - a 6.1% decrease over the $900,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 29 homes sold in Bethesda in January 2016.

The median sales tax in Bethesda for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $9,814, approximately 1.2% of the median home sale price for January 2017.
