Topic: Coins & Stamps
Coins. Stamps. Currency. These are magical things to both collectors & non-collectors. They are art in miniature. They provide a window to another place. They can tell us about past. At this Discovery Day we will help visitors, both young and old, explore the magic & fun that this hobby can provide.
The International Society of World Wide Stamp Collectors will have stamps, information on stamp collecting, and answer questions you might have about your stamps. Volunteers from the National Postal Museum & the Washington, D.C. Stamp Collectors Club will demonstrate how to prepare stamps for collecting albums. Montgomery Coin Club members will exhibit & discuss the hobby.
